Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped finely
  • 1 TBSP garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • salt + pepper, to taste
  • 15 oz can of black beans, rinsed + drained
  • 15 oz can of pinto beans, rinsed + drained
  • 15 oz can of kidney beans, rinsed + drained
  • 10 oz can diced tomatoes and green chilis, with juice
  • 10 oz can diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 30 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 C Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • 1 TBSP cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. While cooking, add onion powder, chili powder, oregano, and salt and pepper.
  • Once ground beef is cooked thoroughly, add diced onions and garlic. Cook another 2 minutes, until onions become a more translucent color.
  • Transfer to slow cooker.
  • Add remaining ingredients - 3 cans of rinsed and drained beans, diced tomatoes with green chilis (adding in the juice as well), diced tomatoes (also adding in its juice), tomato sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, honey and cinnamon.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cook on high 3-4 hours; or on low 6-8 hours.
