My in-laws have been visiting Ko’Olina for over 8 years now. Since they are time share owners at the Marriott, they vacation there every other year and sometimes we are blessed to come with them. We have taken both our children there once they turned two years old and by far, it is one of my favorite locations in Oahu.
Here are 10 reasons we love Ko’Olina:
Man-made swimming coves are perfect for keeping the waves out.
Non crowded beaches (This is where locals come).
Sunsets are truly breathtaking.
Soft grass and the cool ocean breeze takes you along the Ko’Olina resorts.
You can see the occasional turtle swimming in the swimming cove.
JW Resort is in Ko’Olina and you can watch employees feed hammerhead sharks. Not to mention, the resort has some of the most unique and tropical fish and amphibians I have ever seen.
Boats to do activities like snorkeling are nearby.
Dole Pineapple plantation is a short car ride away. (22 miles)
The very popular Waikiki is across the island but still very easy to get to by car. (27 miles)
THIS is there! (Need I say more?)

Disney’s own Aulani is now open in Ko’Olina
Tired of buying resort food? Costco is only a few miles away!
