I have no idea where the time goes. I swear what seems like hours I have to myself while the kids are in school, goes by in the blink of an eye. From running errands to cleaning the house, I seem to have little to no time to do the things I want to do. I am always out and about getting things done before I have to get the kids from school. Because of that I gravitate towards quick meals that aren’t so healthy. Lately I have been working towards new health goals and ways to incorporate being healthy into my busy, every day life.

Here are tips for healthy eating on the go.

Make Breakfast the Night Before

If you’re anything like me, by the time you get your kids fed and out the door, you have no time to make anything for yourself. There’s no need to stop at your local coffee shop for a pastry, just prep your breakfast the night before. Foods like oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, and breakfast casseroles can be made the night before and stored in the fridge. All you have to do is pop it in the microwave for a minute and you have a quick and healthy breakfast.

Don’t Skip Lunch-

To make sure I always remember to eat a heathy lunch, I keep my fridge stocked with easy to grab Elevate salads from Ready Pac. These have been my favorite salads to eat since I first found out about them several months ago. What I love about these salads are the ingredients put into each variety. It’s like I have my own restaurant style salad, with the convenience of being able to just grab and eat, and not having to pay a ridiculous price.

Varieties incude:

  • Southwest
  • Kale Caesar
  • Spinach Pow
  • Go Go Goji
  • Power Grains
  • Sunny Caesar
  • Blu-Rugala
  • Nutty Cranberry

Keep Water on Hand-

Invest in a great insulated water bottle like the Hydro Flask. It can hold up to 40 ounces of water and with the double wall vacuum insulation, it’ll help to keep drinks cold up to 24 hours and hot up to six hours. By having a water bottle on hand, it will remind you to stay hydrated, which is something often overlooked while on the go or substituted for something sugary like soda.

Stock Pre-Packaged, Healthy Snacks-

I’m a snacker, so this one is a huge one for me. Instead of chips and crackers, I started buying Ready Snax. These convenient and extremely tasty snack packs have become a favorite in my house and now my kids are asking for me to put them in their lunch boxes, There are eight different packs available:

  • Pico Fiesta- with chips, salsa and cheese
