This post is for anyone, really. But it was inspired by military families and the parents who are deployed. While I am not a military wife, I have plenty of friends and family who are and while I know it’s hard on the wives, I can’t imagine how hard deployment is on children.

So Annie mentioned to me that some families do a countdown to when Daddy (or Mommy) comes home, and thought it might be cute to have something physical for the kids to SEE the countdown. And hey…it should be free too, right?!

Print out one of our Printables (Mommy or Daddy, either in 8X10 or 5X7 size) and frame it! Then you can use a dry erase marker on the glass of the frame and change the number of days each morning!

 Here are the 8X10s

and if you’d like the 5X7 sized printables,

Not sure how to print them out? Just click on the picture or link you would like, then right click the image that comes up and save it to your computer. Then you can open it and print it out.

This is also great for kids who have a parent who travels a lot, it’s not JUST for military families. So take it and enjoy!
