When it comes to onesies, every mom knows they are invaluable. Babies aren’t exactly great at keeping their shirts tucked in, so a good onesie is essential to a covered belly.
A native of Yorkshire, England, Pippa worked in the film industry before returning to her true passion of painting. Pippa has also done volunteer teacher aid work and been a long-time supporter of various animal/wildlife charities. She decided to combine all her interests to create Lucky Ducks and Friends!
The clothing features an original image based on one of Scott’s unique paintings. It’s digitally printed on a 100-percent ringspun cotton onesie or t-shirt. The onesie has a three-snap bottom closure for easy opening, and comfortable ribbed collar and leg cuffs.
The onesies come in the following designs in six, 12 and 18-month sizes:
***T-shirts come in nine different designs and bibs in 12 designs.
For my daughter, I chose the duck onesie. The bright yellow and orange used in the painting appealed to me and looks great with her (my) favorite yellow sweater.
I was very impressed with the quality of this onesie. I often use onesies for layering as they aren’t sturdy enough to stand on their own. They tend to be flimsy and easily stretch out. Not the case with this one. This was made of strong, durable cotton, which has withstood my daughter’s rough-and-tumble baby antics. And even more impressive was the three-snap closure. My daughter is tall and tends to pop the snaps on her onesies quite often. She would need to be the Incredible Hulk to get out of this onesie—those snaps are the strongest I’ve ever seen!
The only problem I had with the onesie was the size. My daughter wears 18-month clothes in pretty much everything (with the occasional 12-month dress), so that’s what I ordered. It is definitely on the large side. The 12-month size would have been plenty big enough with room to grow, so order a size down.
Pippa’s products would be great gifts for any child or expecting mom. The t-shirts are great for kids who love a graphic on their t-shirt, but have moms who are over the same old superhero and princess tees.
I put my daughter’s cardigan sweater with hers and she looked like a regular little fashionista! And for moms of boys—these shirts and onesies are a great way break out of the same old boring tees you keep buying your son and they are durable enough to hold up to all the rough housing little boys love to do.
If you have an older child, visit the Lucky Duck site with him to let him pick out his own original design. It will be your child’s favorite t-shirt until he outgrows it and is ready for his next one! Want an animal print that’s even more permanent? Pippa has a paintings gallery on her site where you can custom order a painting! Any of these adorable animals would make a gorgeous addition to a nursery or kid’s room.
Check out the Lucky Duck & Friends site for a great addition to your child’s wardrobe or for a unique gift!
