You are invited!
Today’s Simply Parties theme is a Vintage Little Man Baby shower. With tricycles and mustaches, this party is a simple way to celebrate the arrival of a special “Little Man”!
Invites
We took inspiration from an invitation we found online (but cost $8 PER INVITE!) and re-created it, but added in the mustache and our own fonts and tricycle. Want a FREE printable version for your own party? I made you all a simple invite to match the Little Man theme!
We also made inserts to match the invitations for the baby registry info
And mailed them out wrapped in twine to keep the insert with the invite when it was removed from the envelope.
Decor
On the front door, we hung a name banner for Baby Ryder. This was easy to make by printing the letters (The font I used was called Circus) then cutting around them, punching holes in the tops and bottoms of each letter and threading them with twine. A simple but great way to personalize the shower!
We decorated simply, using hanging Tissue Pom Balls and tissue accordian rounds hanging over the main food table.
Rather than a tablecloth, a masculine striped fabric in the party theme colors was used as a simple table runner (and that fabric has since been turned into a small quilt for the baby!)
We bought wooden crates from JoAnns (with 50-percent off coupons) and stained them dark to use as little pedestals for some of the food.
I made printable cards that looked a little like the invite to name each food on the table
We used scrapbook paper and cut out pennant triangles and letters, then glued them onto ribbon to make a banner to welcome the little man!
And we hung handmade Little Man onesies (in different sizes, make sure the mama gets a variety!) on clothesline behind the food table with mustaches, ties and the letter R (baby’s name is Ryder).
Food
We did a brunch buffet for this shower, an easy meal to serve for any size crowd!
- A parfait bar with yogurt, fruit and granola
- Bacon on a stick (bacon threaded onto skewers then baked) was a big hit!
- Oatmeal
- Broccoli ham quiche muffins
- Assorted breakfast muffins
- Sticky bun bread (I used THIS recipe)
And we had boxed chocolate milk as well
Of course you need a little dessert, and we had a cute cupcake display filled with cupcakes made and decorated by my sister in law
It made for the perfect little spread, and it was all delicious.

The placecards can be used for anything from seating to labeling food. Just cut them along the solid lines, and fold on the dotted lines!
If you want some cupcake toppers, just print this one out, cut out the circles and tape/glue onto toothpicks to stick into the cupcakes!
