Skinny Margarita

Next month I am headed to Cancun, Mexico with my little family. As you can imagine, that means this mom is on a strict swimsuit diet. I am eating clean and working out daily to prepare for our trip in just a few weeks. There’s nothing better to help celebrate and get into Mexico mode than with an amazing Margarita.

One of my favorite margaritas to drink is a skinny margarita. Talk about the guilt-free feeling of enjoying a refreshing drink. I had never made one at home before so I couldn’t wait to see what exactly turned a margarita into a skinny margarita. After reading Pura Vida’s recipe, I couldn’t wait to make one!

The Ultimate Skinny Margarita

  • 2 oz Pura Vida Silver Tequila
  • 2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Agave Nectar


  • Combine tequila, juices and nectar in a shaker with ice and shake to chill. Pour into ice filled margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and an optional salted rim.
