After a workout I tend to be starving. By the time I get home I just want to veg out which defeats the purpose of a good workout. Luckily for me I found Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bars. Finding a wholesome snack to keep me full after a workout is tough. I tend to just snack on several things than eat one thing filling. While playing around on the Skinnygirl Snack Swap site I saw the option to swap out nachos. Curious about what the healthier options would be I clicked and found myself drooling over a healthy, simple swap idea—  Cheesy Avocado Toast. Not only did I have all the ingredients to make this at home. It literally takes about 5 minutes to make which is the perfect go-to for me!


Cheesy Avocado Toast
Serves: 1
Sometimes the simplest foods are the best foods. This cheesy avocado toast is crisp, savory and best of all, a filling and healthy snack that isn’t loaded with unhealthy fats and refined carbohydrates. High in protein, fiber and flavor, this toast is a much better bet than restaurant-style nachos.
  • 1 slice whole-grain bread
  • 1 small tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1 oz cheddar cheese, grated
  1. Lightly toast the bread. Top with sliced tomato and avocado, then sprinkle on grated cheese. Place under broiler for a few minutes, until cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!

I did add siracha to mine because I am a little obsessed, but you can leave it plain or get creative with some red peppers.
