Welcome to Emily’s Simply Made Series! Each post features a craft that looks cute or is practical but is easy enough for even the uncraftiest of people. Cute DIY things are NOT just for the pros! You can do it too!

I love wreaths! Don’t you? They can be used anytime of year, changed for every fun occasion or holiday.

Today’s Simply Made Project is a How-To for the easiest wreath ever. It’s simple, yet cute.

All you need is:

Styrofoam wreath form (floral section of craft stores) $4.99
1/2 yard of  fabric (gray)
1/4 yard of fabric (white)
straight pins $1.60/box

Start by ripping your main color (mine is gray) into 2-3 inch strips. Do this by snipping a little bit with scissors, then just pull apart! It should tear in a straight line! Then, cut circles out of your second color. I did about 10 2-3 inch circles. They don’t have to be perfect.

Take your wreath form

And pin one of the strips to the back.

Then wrap that strip around the form. Don’t worry about being smooth…you want it a little rough looking.

Pin the end of the strip to the back of the form as well. You want all of your pins on the back of the wreath. If a strip doesn’t fit all the way to the back, then just go back and pin it where it goes around the back and cut the excess.

Now start a new strip just overtop of where the last strip ended, and wrap again. Repeat until the wreath is covered.

Now take one of your circles and fold it in half

Fold it in half again

Pin it to your wreath, pushing the pin in by it’s corner.

Stagger them, keeping them all close together.

Fluff up the circles, pulling the “petals” apart a bit.

Now cut a strip of either fabric, about 1″ by 5″

Fold it in half, then pin it to the top back of your wreath form. This is how you’ll hang your wreath.

Place it on your door with an over-the-door wreath hanger, or do as I do and use a Command Strips Hook (I LOVE these things. They come off clean, so no worries about paint stripping or nasty sticky stuff left behind)

We think imitation is the BEST form of flattery! If you make this or any of my Simply Made Sunday projects, come by and post a picture of it on our Facebook page! We want to see!
