My oldest son is 5 years old and has some social awkwardness. He doesn’t always know how to approach a situation where there are many children present and often acts inappropriately for the given situation. We have worked so hard with him to prepare him for Kindergarten, but it hasn’t been easy and we have been worried a lot about it.
We worked with the other adults in his life to make sure and get him around other kids often. We had him play with friends, problem solve together and enjoy being together. It wasn’t always easy, but it is SO important to teach children these social skills at this stage before sending them into the world of elementary school!
All of our hard work is paying off! He is still struggling a little bit but we are so proud of the huge strides he takes to socialize with his peers each day of school.
Luckily, there are amazing programs that focus on exactly that! La Petite Academy is a nationwide school for children aged 0-6, and they want children to learn together, learn to work together, respect one another and have fun constructively all while learning just how fun learning can be!
“Together, we learn.”
La Petite Academy’s educational experienes are complemented with socialization and play to give well rounded development and make your children lifelong learners.
Your child can start from birth and go all the way up to Kindergarten focusing on learning and having fun with their peers. They not only get solid education, they learn to interact and be an active learner WITH their friends!
La Petite Academy: Opening Minds. Unleashing imaginations.
