Much like my family, vintage meets modern in the best way thanks to Nintendo Selects, a collection of classic Nintendo games now available for the Nintendo 3DS, 2DS and the Wii and WiiU.
My husband and I grew up in the 80’s/90’s when video games were getting their start. He loved Legend of Zelda, while I was more of a Super Mario Brother’s kinda gal. Our son is 8 and has already mastered games that are so advanced and modern that I can’t follow along anymore (thank goodness my husband can keep up!) so when I heard that Nintendo released classic games for modern systems it sounded like the perfect fit for our balanced family.
Being able to impress my video game loving boy with my Super Mario skills in Ultimate NES Remix is priceless! We downloaded it onto our 3DS quickly and affordably and I couldn’t wait to dive right in and try it out! The game also comes with Games like Donkey Kong, Excite Bike, Dr. Mario, Legend of Zelda, and more…16 original games in one!
My husband loves the Legend of Zelda that’s included in the Ultimate NES Remix, but he also loves The Legend of Zelda:Link Between Worlds. Being able to introduce this classic series he grew up with to our kids is so fun to watch.
Being able to share our fun memories as kids with our own kids now is something that brings so much joy to our family! We have fun challenging each other in games like Donkey Kong and help each other with difficult levels in Mario-something I can’t help with on the more modern games. Best of all? The Nintendo Selects games are totally affordable! I have a hard time spending a lot of money on video games but these games are all within our budget-love that!
We’ve had so much fun with our Nintendo Selects games, check out the available games and order them for yourself HERE or find them in stores-just look for the gold banner!
