These Mickey Oreo cookies had to be one of my favorite desserts we had at my son’s Mickey Mouse party! Not only are the adorably delicious but they are incredibly easy to make! Seriously! Even if you don’t have a birthday party to throw, you can make these as fun snacks for the kids to enjoy.
I originally got the idea from an adorable blog called Dip it in Chocolate. She went all out with Mickey and Mickey Oreo Pops but I went with the more simpler version and stuck with making just the Mickey pants. They are adorable and you can find everything to make them at your local grocery and craft store.
Here’s what you will need:
- Double Stuf Oreos (We got away with using just one package)
- Red Candy Melts (I got mine at Michael’s)
- White Sugar Pearls (you can use any white sprinkles that are large enough to look like buttons)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Follow the directions on the bag of candy melts to melt. We used half the bag and put them in a microwave safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
Once melted, take your Oreos and start dipping them into the melted Candy Melts half way. After they are dipped, add two candy pearls for the button and place on the lined baking sheet.
After all Oreos have been dipped and sprinkled, place the baking sheet in the fridge for about 10 minutes to harden the Candy Melt and you are ready to place on your serving plate!
