Is it really possible to eat more and weigh less? Sounds like the perfect, but non-existent plan, right? Well, it is really possible! Moms, there is a cookbook out there to help you EAT MORE and WEIGH LESS!
Lisa Lillien, author of Hungry Girl 300 Under 300: 300 Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Dishes Under 300 Calories, has done a fantastic job of creating satisfying meals that leave you feeling full without all the guilt. I’ve tried several of her recipes that are not only easy on my waist line, but they taste great! Lillien is the founder of hungry-girl.com and puts out a daily e-mail providing approximately one million fans with guilt-free recipes and dieting tricks. She also writes weekly columns for weightwatchers.com and Yahoo!, and regularly contributes to Redbook magazine. She has appeared on TV shows like Rachael Ray, Dr. Oz and Extra, and her cookbooks are New York Times bestsellers. She can now be found on the cooking channel so be sure to check out her show.
Hungry Girl’s 300 Recipes Under 300 is a cookbook that’s tailored to girls who love to eat full-on, satisfying meals, just like me! Want to make lasagna or pizza, but worried it doesn’t fit into your diet? No problem, she has a healthier version for you!
You won’t find tofu and sprout recipes in this cookbook; Lillien aims to create healthier versions of all-American comfort food classics. Her recipes are fully adaptable too; our family loves to cook with a lot of organic ingredients and I have found when I do substitutions, her recipes still taste great.
Some of my favorite recipes from the cookbook include:
- Spicy Chicken Crunchtastic Supreme
- Cupcake Lasagnas
- Nacho-rific Stuffed Chicken
- Fruity Quesadilla
- S’mores Oatmeal
Lisa Lillien has written several other cookbooks including:
