Get Upside Down with DairyQueen

The weather is getting warmer, and warm weather means more cool treats with your family. We love to eat an early dinner and go out for a special dessert with our kids every once in a while. It’s fun little things like that that help us to create lasting memories with our boys. My oldest loves to go to his Grandpa’s favorite ice cream spot, Dairy Queen.

Dairy Queen Blizzard

Soft serve ice cream was invented by Dairy Queen, which eventually led to the creation of the Blizzard; a treat so thick and creamy that it can be served upside down without a spill or mess. The best selling Blizzard is the delicious Oreo Blizzard, and that happens to be my family’s favorite version of the Blizzard! Who wouldn’t love a dessert of soft serve ice cream mixed with America’s favorite cookie?

We love going to visit Dairy Queen. The nostalgia of an ice cream shop that we have visited since we were young and being able to bring our own children along for the fun treats makes summer evenings memorable and delicious!

All throughout the month of April, Dairy Queen is celebrating it’s 75th Fanniversary. They’re asking America to #GetUpsideDown, just like the legendary DQ treat-the Blizzard.

When you visit your local Dairy Queen this month and order any Blizzard, it will be served to you upside down or your next Blizzard is free! They are hoping to reach 15 million Blizzards served upside down this month, will yours be one of them?
