Embassy Suites Anaheim South is a children- friendly hotel located in Anaheim, approx 1 mile from the Disneyland Park. If your family is visiting Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm or even vacationing in Anaheim this is the perfect place to stay. We were incredibly impressed with everything Embassy Suites has to offer. All guests enjoy a spacious two –room suite during their stay including a separate bedroom and living area which we found so convenient on more than one occasion while staying at the hotel.
Our Two-Room Suite included a private bedroom with a king size bed and a separate living room area with a fold out Sleeper Sofa. Having two rooms allowed us to spread out at different times during the day. Each room has a flat screen TV with cable and in suite movies for adults and children. Both of my children were so excited they had Disney Jr. and that is what they watched most of the time the television was on.
Including in each suite is also a refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, microwave and cups. We really utilized our refrigerator and was so happy the rooms had this. With two children it is always great to have a refrigerator to keep drinks and food fresh for snacks throughout the day.
The bathroom was very spacious and our favorite was the tub. I love how the bathtub has the extra ledge for shampoo bottles and towels. We also really appreciated the height of the tub as well. It may sound strange but it always makes me so nervous when my children get into the bathtub. My two year old was able to get in and out on his own which is huge, not something he can do at home. The bathrooms have endless amounts of counter space which was great because we always over pack when vacationing. I always bring my own blow dryer and shampoos, even when the hotels provide them.
The private bedroom comes with a King Size Bed as well as a flat screen TV.
A huge plus for having the most comfortable king size bed to sleep in. The bed was huge, at several times our family of four fit comfortably. Any parent knows when you have toddlers they can sneak in your bed at anytime during the night and having that extra space was wonderful to accommodate the entire family.
When traveling I often bring my own throws and pillows because most hotels I have stayed at were always very uncomfortable. Embassy Suites focuses on providing all guests with a level of luxury that exceeds your standard hotel, even the pillows. Each bedroom has Brentwood Gold pillows and they really are the best! I’m huge on having a comfortable bedroom when on vacation, I rely on a restful night to be able to enjoy the next day and keeping up with two toddlers.
The hotel elevators are fast and always running. There are two on each side of the floor so we never had to wait more than 1-2 minutes or so for an elevator to take us downstairs.
This is my first time staying at a hotel that offered a Free Cooked-to Order Breakfast. I’m not talking continental, the kind you see at most hotels with a few pastry’s and fruit options, this is a full on breakfast! Every morning from 6:30am until 9:30am (10:30am on weekends) the hotel provided a huge breakfast buffet with hot and cold options available. You can enjoy a specially made omelet with all of your favorite fillings as well as breakfast potatoes, bacon, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt and they even have a cereal station.
The first section was filled with freshly cooked potatoes, scrambled eggs and Pancakes. Next to this was a cook that would specially make any omelet of your choice.
Fresh Bacon and Sausage.
And my children’s favorite of course, fresh donuts, pastries and muffins.
I am a vegetarian and took full advantage of the fruit bar. Everything was so great!
We noticed a few families grabbed fruit to go and went straight to the park. Also an awesome idea and great way to save money.
Cereal station was great! It came with All Bran, Fruit Loops, Corn Flakes and Rice Crispies cereal.
And my favorite, the coffee!!!! I loved how you could drink in a glass cup while at the breakfast but take one to go as well when you are finished. What a treat!
You can also choose from many drink options, juices or milk for the children and Coffee or Soda for the adults. This was a great way for us to fuel up for our day at Disneyland and saved us so much money from dining out at the park. If you are not a breakfast person you can grab a few snacks on the go. I also noticed some guests brought their trays to their rooms to eat as well.
The atmosphere at the Ebassy Suites Anaheim is so lovely. You get to enjoy the wide open space and beautiful scenery. Both of my children were in awe at the the animatronic lion and beautiful Koi stream, one of the first things you notice when you walk into the hotel. The lion actually makes realistic sounds and moves. This was a little bit of a distraction during our breakfast, but a good one.
Our Room was on the 10th floor and this is the view when looking down, gorgeous right!
By the time we finished our breakfast our room was already serviced and cleaned! How nice is it to leave your suite, enjoy a delicious breakfast and then come back to a clean room! So spoiled, honestly.
We found so many benefits to have the two separate rooms during our stay. This was so convenient for us on more than one occasion. It allowed me to work uninterrupted while the kids watched TV and had lunch in the other room with their father.
When we returned from Disneyland the first day my two your old was exhausted and my five your old had been asking to play with her toys for hours. Since we had two separate rooms my son was able to stay sleeping in the other room quietly while my daughter played in the bedroom with her new toys. We just love that the rooms are close enough to see or hear anything yet far enough away to keep from bothering others.
Mom and Dad need a break sometimes too! The kids had no problem hanging out throughout our vacation in the separate living room. It was so nice for the adults to sit down and reflect on the day and enjoy a few moments to relax.
Each two room suite has a couch that folds into an additional bed. I cannot begin to tell you how awesome this is. The kids had pizza and watched movies while I was able to get ready for the day in the separate bedroom.
Have you ever stayed at a hotel that offered complementary drinks and appetizers every evening? Held nightly at every Embassy Suites Hotels location, the hotel provides complimentary snacks and beverages for all guests and this is family friendly so everyone can enjoy.
We enjoyed several different chip and dip options as well as well drinks, beer and wine for the adults. Even the children enjoyed the snacks and juice.
Every evening we took the shuttle from Disneyland back to the hotel for an hour to two so we could have a chance to settle down and get off of our feet. The reception was perfect for this and a wonderful surprise that I did not even know was included until we arrived. And who doesn’t like free drinks?
One of the most convenient services offered was the Disneyland Shuttle. Embassy Suites has their own exclusive shuttle that goes to and from the park every 30 minutes and runs until 12:00am. There is a small ticket fee which was $5 for adults and $3 for children but we were happy to pay this, especially since all the other shuttles we have used before stopped and multiple locations which was very difficult when you have excited children ready to go.
Our last day during our stay we visited the huge Lego Store at Downtown Disney. This was so much fun for the entire family!
The Lego store was a quick 5 minute drive from our hotel and was filled with so much excitement and fun for the entire family. We built our own lego people and the children each picked out a set of legos and colors they wanted.
The Lego wall has every color you can imagine!
Courtesy of Embassy Suites we were able to pick out some awesome toys to take back home with us.
After a little shopping we made our way back to the hotel and finished up packing for our journey home. Embassy Suites really made our entire vacation.
We had such an amazing time during our visit and I cannot think of one thing that could of made our stay any better than it already was. The great thing is all Embassy Suites offer similar amenities that our did, they are all equally awesome! If you are are planning a family vacation we recommend the Embassy Suites for your stay. Our family had so much fun and can’t wait to visit again soon.
Thank you Embassy Suites for hosting my family’s stay. All opinions are my own.
