The other day we shared a picture of me at home with my two older boys playing so sweetly, and I mentioned that I was frozen…fearing if I moved or spoke the magic of the moment would fade away. We got comments about the kids playing, but we also had comments asking about my shirt!Well, I made it. I love to make t-shirts for me and my kids, and I live my momlife out loud with no regrets so this shirt was a necessity in my opinion. I followed our basic faux screen printing tutorial to make this sweatshirt (I bought the blank sweatshirt at Forever 21 for $11 and it’s the BEST most comfortable sweatshirt ever!) and I promised a few commenters I would offer a template for anyone who wanted to make this at home too!

How does one patent their slogan on tees?
Does it hold up well in the washer and dryer? Or will it fade or peel over time?
It holds up! Some fabrics do better than others but I have shirts that were painted 5+ years ago and have been washed over and over that look only slightly aged!
What did you use altogether to use this im missing what the white bottle is is it paint? An cant you get different colours init xxx
How do I download it without the watermark?
Unfortunately we aren’t offering it without a watermark, our image was being used for profit so we are protecting our design.
What font did you use?
I left it on too long and wasn’t able to get all of the freezer paper off. Is this a loss or do you have any ideas on how to get the rest of it off? Also, for future reference how many minutes do you wait before peeling the freezer paper off? I used the same paint you suggested. Thanks!
Hi Tabitha!
I’ve never actually had an issue with leaving the paint on too long-I’ve left it on overnight with no issue. The freezer paper should only have a slight adhesion after ironing and should peel right off, even with paint on it. For best results you’ll want to peel 5-10 minutes after painting to avoid peeling up dry paint. Brand of freezer paper and type of fabric can possibly be problematic but I don’t think your project is a complete loss. Carefully work on peeling what is left little by little.
