My toddler son loves helping me in the kitchen. I’ve found that he is more likely to eat what he’s helped create! Cooking together also builds lasting family memories (Read our article about Creating Meal Time Memories).

When we’re in the mood for pizza, but don’t have the time to make crust or sauce, we turn to making our own French Bread Pizza. It’s so easy and fun for your kids to help with!

Ingredients:

  • French bread (find it in the bakery at your local grocery/baker or make your own)
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese
  • Other toppings as you please such as pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc…

Step 1:

Cut the bread in half lengthwise and by width.

Step 2:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add sauce, cheese and other toppings to your bread.*

*This was my son’s favorite part to help with! He loved spreading the sauce around on each piece of bread, then sprinkling (and eating) the cheese.

Step 3:

Place on a pan to bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
