It can be so much fun to cook with your children. For an added bonus, kids who are involved in preparing food are more likely to eat it! English Muffin Pizzas are a favorite at my house. We all love pizza, but love different toppings. This gives everyone a chance to customize their pizza to fit their taste. My daughter makes her pizza without cheese, whereas my son and I load on the cheese. However, I find her snacking on the turkey pepperoni and vegetables while we’re making the pizzas—can’t complain about that!

Step 1: Gather up everything your family likes for pizza and divide the toppings into bowls.
Here are the ingredients we use at my house:

  • Whole-wheat English muffins
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pizza sauce
  • Vegetables
  • Turkey pepperoni

Step 2: Depending on the age of your children, you may be able to skip this step. When making the pizzas with younger children, I always put the sauce on first. But as children reach preschool age (or maybe kindergarten), you can probably trust them to put the sauce on themselves—AFTER you demonstrate how to do it on your own.

Step 3: Let everyone top their pizzas as they choose. What better way to make a meal that everyone will enjoy?

Step 4: Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Step 5: Enjoy!
