It was just 2 weeks before my youngest son was born that we realized our family wasn’t going to be complete without a dog for him to grow up with. Both my boyfriend and I grew up with dogs and we wanted that for our family. While the plan was to wait until our son was born to adopt one, plans quickly changed one night during an online search. Here was this beautiful Chocolate English Labrador in need of a good home, a loving family to care for him, and someone who can give him lots of exercise and play time. It couldn’t have been a more perfect match so off I went to adopt him the next morning.
My older kids knew we were looking for one but were completely surprised when I picked them up later that afternoon with Maverick, our new dog.
Adopting a dog isn’t always the easiest, but it is definitely the most rewarding thing we could have done. The amount of gratitude he shows for us every day is such a beautiful thing. He is the happiest, loving, friendliest dog I could have ever hoped for. Sure he is stubborn in his ways, but he is so gentle with our our children and knows our home is his.
Because he is a part of our family, we like to reward him for his sweet behavior, especially during some of our training sessions with him or when we’ve had a long day of playing. Finding the right dog treats for him has been a task. We want to give him treats that are as close to homestyle as possible and something that complements his active lifestyle. Recently we’ve been giving him Milo’s Kitchen® Homestyle Dog Treats and he couldn’t be a happier dog. These dog treats are great!
One of his favorite treats is Milo’s Kitchen® Chicken Recipe with Wild Rice & Spring Vegetables. These treats are made with all-natural high protein ingredients and includes chicken, wild rice and vegetables like carrot and green beans. He also enjoys Milo’s® Kitchen Beef Recipe with Real Brisket and Garden Vegetables. Now if I were a dog, this would be my go-to. It’s made with all-natural ingredients like beef brisket, spinach, and carrots. Yum!
Milo’s Kitchen® Dog Treats are a great choice for many reasons.
- Made with real beef, chicken or duck as the #1 ingredient
- Produced in Spanish Fork, Utah and Siloam Springs, Arkansas
- Contains NO artificial flavors
Our dog is a part of our family which means he needs to eat well and get the best he possibly can.
