Apple season is upon us and I can’t get enough of everything apple! Apple Fritters, Apple Cider, Apple Crisp and Apple Pie…it’s all a delicious sign that Fall is here.
For so many of us, Fall is just a word because the weather is still way too warm to wear sweaters and cozy up with hot soups or apple pie. I decided I needed my apple pie fix despite the warm weather and my boys and I whipped up some amazing apple pie milkshakes to not only curb the apple craving but also give us a cool treat!
Start by placing 6 large scoops of vanilla ice cream into a blender. Top with 1 cup of apple pie filling (feel free to make your own, we just used the canned version for simplicity’s sake) and about 1/4 cup of milk.
Blend it up, adding a little milk at a time as needed until it all blends completely.Now, pour a little caramel on a plate and some graham cracker crumbs onto another. Dip the rim of your glass into the caramel, then immediately into the crumbs. Drizzle the inside of your glass with more caramelThen pour your milkshake right in!
Top it with whipped cream, a sprinkle of the graham cracker crumbs and a drizzle of caramel before placing that ever so important cherry on top.We garnished with apple slices, donut holes and mini apple fritters to make them EXTRA special
Caramel Apple Pie Milkshake
- 6 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
- 1/4-1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup Apple Pie Filling
- Graham Cracker Crumbs
- Place ice cream, 1/4 cup milk and pie filling into a blender
- Blend until combined, adding milk as needed for consistency
- Rim your glass with caramel and then graham cracker crumbs and drizzle caramel into the glass
- Pour your milkshake in and garnish with whipped cream, more caramel and graham cracker crumbs and a cherry
