Last weekend I had the chance to drive the all-new 2014 Kia Forte EX to San Francisco for an incredible weekend hosted by Kia Motors. If you are in the market for a sedan, the 2014 Forte makes it to the top of my list. Along with it’s extreme affordability, this redesigned Forte is such a sexy and sporty sedan.
Driving the 2014 Kia Forte was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had. This compact car feels as sporty as it looks without all the unnecessary noise. I could talk using my Bluetooth without excess road noise, which was a huge plus for me.
The leg room and comfort level inside the 2014 Forte are also impressive. Usually I am a little disappointed when it comes to leg room in vehicles. Installing my son’s car seat can be a dreadful experience as we tend to lose a ton of leg space. However, with the 2014 Forte I was pleasantly surprised with how much room both of my kids had in the back seat. Not only did they have leg room, but so did the driver AND passenger— A rare luxury while in a compact sedan.
There are so many unique features to the 2014 Kia Forte EX that made this one of the most enjoyable cars I have ever driven in. In fact, I would love for this to be my daily commuter car. This vehicle boasts a fuel economy of 25 city/36 hwy, and I even averaged over 30 mpg driving in stop and go traffic and through the hills of San Francisco. Talk about a necessity as gas prices are extremely high here in California.
Here’s a quick video overview of some of my favorite features:
As mentioned in my short video, the heated and cooled seats are a must when it comes to leather seats. What I didn’t mention is that the back seats are also equipped with seat warmers. While I won’t be using that any time soon with both car seats in tow, knowing that I can when I have adult passengers in my car makes me know that my passengers will be as comfortable as possible while riding in the 2014 Forte.
Kia also offers something very unique called UVO eServices. Being a mom I find this to be extremely important in my everyday traveling. The UVO is an in-car infotainment system with advanced voice- and touch-activated features that allows you to call for help with a push of a button, stay up-to-date with maintenance, get road side assistance, use GPS and more all by syncing your smartphone via Bluetooth. The best part about UVO eServices is that there is no subscription needed. How incredible is that? Definitely pushes Kia to the top of my list for this alone.
The MSRP on the 2014 Kia Forte EX that is shown in my pictures and video comes to $25,515. This includes the Premium Package and EX Technology Package which I highly recommend. The Forte starts at just $15,900 which makes it ideal for any price budget. You can view all options and a complete gallery by visiting www.kia.com.
