With the end of the school year approaching, it’s time we thought about giving back to those who are always there for our children. If you think about it, teachers do a lot for our children every single day. They help mold them into the adults they will soon become. It takes a special kind of person to become a teacher and it’s time we show our appreciation.
Trying to find the right gift to give your child’s teacher at the end of the school year can be stressful. We prefer to stick with small, meaningful gifts because they can mean so much more and are a great way for kids to show their teachers exactly what they mean to them.
One of my favorite gifts is actually something very simple. If your family is anything like mine, you have a cabinet stocked with Cheerios. It’s my children’s favorite thing to eat for breakfast and to snack on throughout the day. Right now Cheerios is doing something incredible and it perfectly aligns with the end of the school year.
“Buy One, Give One” is a promotion going on with Cheerios and Walmart where you buy a box of Cheerios, enter your code on Walmart’s website and receive a free box to give to someone. It’s the perfect way for kid’s to show their teacher they care by sharing their favorite, tasty cereal with them!
Instead of just handing the kid’s teacher a coupon for their free box, have your child create a personal, sentimental card to go along with it. Whether you want them to create it on construction paper, online, or by simply buying a card, make sure they add something special inside, from the heart. If they are too little to write, you can write the wording and then have them color and draw inside.
Another creative idea to go along with the coupon for the Cheerios box and card is to have your child create a necklace with a string of Cheerios on it. It’s fun and goes with the theme of the gift for their teacher.
You can then have your child hand the coupon for the free box of cheerios along with the card and necklace to their teacher on the last day of school. It’s simple, meaningful and a unique gift your child’s teacher will love and appreciate.
Find your code inside specially marked packages in stores and enter it on http://wm6.walmart.com/Gluten-Free-Cheerios to send a coupon for a free box of Cheerios to someone that matters.
