NYC Lip Stain

As a mom always on the go, I am not one to want to keep re-applying my make up. I just don’t have time.

I recently had the chance to try out New York Color’s Smooch Proof 16 Hour Lip Stain, and I was surprised by how much I liked it!

I wore it in many different situations, and I have a few likes/dislikes to share with you all.

I loved the easy application. The tip is a pointed foam brush that easily applies the perfect amount of color, and allows for precise lines.
While my lips did get a little dry, that is normal with long-wearing lip stains, and this one wasn’t as dry as others I have tried. I liked that. The dryness is a quick fix with a little chapstick.

The color choices are all gorgeous and look good on many different skin tones. I tried a variety of colors, and really liked the color Coral Reef for my light skin.

My main complaint for the product is that it claims to be a 16-hour stain, but it definitely didn’t last that long. It did last longer than a normal lipstick, but I would say 8-10 hours with a Chapstick coat. That is perfect for most occasions or a work day anyway. Not a problem, but don’t hop on an overseas flight hoping for your lipstick to be perfect when you land.

We had to test the “Smooch Proof” name. Kissing skin or lips, and drinking were both tested and had no transfer of color! What a great thing! I kiss my little one a lot and just don’t need him to have smooch marks everywhere. I don’t go around kissing paper, but we tested that, and a slight amount of color did transfer.

All in all, I really liked this lip stain! What a steal it is at $4.99! You don’t have to break the bank for long-lasting, smooch proof color!
