There is nothing quite like seeing your child’s eyes light up with magic when they really believe in Santa Claus. Making Magic Reindeer Food with them and leaving it outside is a fun way to create a magical memory with your child. As a teacher, I have had parents bring this recipe in and make Magic Reindeer Food with my class on several occasions.
So don’t forget when you’re leaving the cookies and milk out for Santa to leave a little something out for the reindeer as well! Enjoy the recipe and free printable to create the magical moment with your child.
Magic Reindeer Food:
- 1/2 cup of oatmeal
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons of green sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons of red sprinkles
- PLEASE NOTE–do not use glitter or sparkles in your recipe! It can be harmful to wildlife! This is why this recipe calls for sprinkles and sugar to make the food “sparkle” 🙂
Click below and print this poem and place it in a ziplock bag with the recipe to wait for Christmas Eve. Then, sprinkle the food outside on Christmas Eve.
