Lolly Wolly Doodle: Classic and Contemporary Clothing for Kids
I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was introduced to Lolly Wolly Doodle. Their children’s fashions are the perfect combination of contemporary, yet classic. The southern girl in me couldn’t help but drool over all of the smocking, chevron, shortalls, monograms, bows, and appliques. (They even have a few college football accessories!)
This wonderful company is the brain child of Brandi Tysinger-Temple, from Lexington, North Carolina. That’s right. She’s southern!!! Â Brandi was taught to sew by her grandmother as a child and began making clothes for her four children when she couldn’t find “anything in stores that matched and was tasteful and fun.”
Not only has this company saved her family from its own financial struggles, but it has created numerous jobs here in the United States.  Additionally, Lolly Wolly Doodle has two charity focuses. Their  “Moms in a Jam” program sends checks at the holidays to those that can’t afford to make the holidays special for their children.  Also, last year they were able to build a well in a village in Africa to provide clean water.
Let’s get back to clothes for a minute. Lolly Wolly Doodle’s site is full of absolutely adorable fashions. Peasant dresses in chevron, ruffle pants with matching tops, and monogrammed tank dresses. Â For the boys there is a great selection of short and longalls, Â custom t-shirts, and some pretty awesome backpacks. Â There is also a section for mom, including accessories galore! Â I have my eye on one of the chevron burlap plaque totes!
My daughter, Hadley, has one of the ruffled neck dresses in lime green and pink. It is well sewn, lightweight (which is crucial for the Georgia summers), fits her perfectly, and most importantly looks incredibly darling!! This dress is our first piece from Lolly Wolly Doodle, but you can bet it won’t be the last.
Not only is this company providing high quality, fashionable yet affordable clothing, but is making a difference in local and global communities. Now that’s fashion you can feel good about!!
