Have you ever stood in front of the wine aisle at the store not knowing which wine was a good one to buy? Or maybe what wine went well with your dinner? I have tried just about every wine app there is and sadly most seem to disappoint. I feel like most creators of apps don’t really understand what the consumer wants and what they are looking for. None seem to help me with the common challenge of what wine pairs well with my dinner menu. That is until I discovered ThumbsUp Wine Finder.
You see, unlike most wine apps, there are two wine experts behind Thumbs Up Wine— Joe Gaspardone and Matt Eshoo. The dynamic duo have dedicated themselves to making it easy for wine buyers to find the very best wines in the stores they most frequently shop. Joe and Matt professionally review hundreds of wines each month carried by retailers like A&P, Albertsons, Costco, CVS, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Kroger, Safeway, Trader Joe’s, Von’s, Whole Foods, Winn-Dixie, state-run wine retailers in liquor control states and other major chain stores. Thumbs Up Wine reviews are passed along to consumers via the Thumb Up Wine website and the Thumbs Up WineFinder mobile app.
Here are some impressive details about the WineFinder app:
- Only mobile app specifically developed to match buyers with wine while they’re in the aisle
- Only app with national coverage of over 50 of the largest wine retailers
- 4,000+ wines professionally reviewed each year
- Already the #3 most-watched wine channel on YouTube (#1 Gary Vaynerchuk, #2 Wine Spectator)
- 500+ videos on YouTube
- 100% original content
Ready to see it in action?
Once you download the WineFinder app you have access to specifically search wine customized to your needs, browse through professional wine videos to learn more about wine basics, what goes with what, great wine finds, and more. You also have the opportunity to save wine finds for later use.
To show you the app in action, I selected “In-Store Search.” When selecting this option you have many choices to choose from. Whether you are gifting the wine, buying a bottle for a party, or pairing it with you dinner, the options are available to you via this app.
After choosing what the occasion is, you have the option of selecting which store you will be purchasing the wine from. There are plenty options for you to choose from. In my case I selected Costco.
During my shopping experience using WineFinder, I shopped for a good wine to pair with dinner. As you can see there are a ton of options to choose from– I selected “White Meat.”
From there I chose exactly what “white meat” we were having, which happened to be chicken. Not all wine that pairs with sausage pairs with chicken so I was so happy to have the option to get specific.
After selecting your food choice, you have the option to choose which price range fits into your budget. I can’t begin to tell you how much I love this option! Friends of mine are always asking me which bottle of wine is a good wine to get for under $15 and now I can direct them to the WineFinder app!
Here comes the exciting part— selecting your wine! Based on the Costco in my area, these are just a fraction of the wines that pair well with a chicken dinner.
Still unsure if you are choosing the right wine? If you select which wine you are considering not only do you get a description of the tasting notes and flavor, but there is a detailed video included. It’s like having your own wine professional right at your fingertips.
Thumbs Up WineFinder app is available on both iPhone and Andriod phones. You can learn more about Thumbs Up Wine by visiting their website: www.thumbsupwine.com or following them on Facebook and Twitter.
