It’s hard enough to feel confident in regular clothes after having a baby, so the thought of getting naked in front of your spouse can be something many of us just don’t want to do anymore. Pre-baby, it was on, but post baby? Yeah.. not so much.
Our bodies have changed and sometimes it’s hard to even look at yourself in the mirror and recognize your own body. Luckily for us, many of our husbands don’t care about that. They love us and our bodies: pre baby AND post baby. If you’re struggling to feel sexy even with your clothes on, here is a great article about How To Feel Sexy After Having Kids. But when it’s time to get down to business, here are some great tips on how to feel confident about your body in bed.
Ditch the Dark:
Yes, you heard me. This may be something you are already saying no to, but hear me out. You don’t have to have the lights on all the way, but you don’t need it pitch black either. Set the mood by lighting candles or dimming the lights in the room if you can. Not only will this create a romantic atmosphere, but it’ll highlight your best assets.
Say NO to the Grandma Jammies:
That’s right, I am talking to you. If you own a pair of jammies that fit extremely loose or wear a large t-shirt and flannel PJ bottoms, it’s time to put those away in a drawer until you’re officially ready to go to sleep. Buy a few pieces of lingerie that make you feel good about your body. There are so many different designs and options out there, see which ones flatter your body more. Don’t feel weird to ask a friend, that’s what we are here for. Or, get your partner involved and find something you know he will love to see on you. We spend so much time covering up that we can forget what we actually look like. The right lingerie goes a long way in helping out in this situation.
I am not talking about doing a fun DIY project, I am talking about getting creative in bed. Try different positions, they can give you great angles of your body so only he can see the parts you want him focused on.
Never, ever ever apologize for your body. They don’t see us the way we see ourselves. We are our own worst critics and by apologizing, you could really kill the vibe. If you are feeling down about how you look, ask your partner what he finds most attractive about you, what features he loves, what things you do that drive him wild.
Take Care of Your Body:
Eat right, exercise when you can. I know this can be a struggle, but this will play in to how your confidence can increase while in bed.
