Back-to-school is here and I can’t begin to express how excited my children and I are. One of my fondest memories surrounding back-to-school is when my mom would take my brothers and me shopping for new school clothes. I couldn’t wait to start the school year showing off my awesome new clothes and I am so happy I get to re-live that joy through my children.
When going back-to-school shopping I like to let my children pick out the clothes that they like, after all… they will be the ones wearing them. If you think about it, clothing choices say a lot about your personality and I want their personalities to shine through them as well as letting them feel comfortable in their outfit choices.
Just recently we headed to Kmart to stock up on clothes for this school year and were so excited with the options available to us. From jeans to shirts, Kmart really offers something for every child. This was the first time in a while we had been to Kmart and will definitely be back for more school shopping for the kids.
Some of our favorite clothing selections, as seen in video, were from Kmart’s Route 66 collection. Not only were the Boy’s Straight Jeans designer quality, but the t-shirts were fun and full of personality!
Another favorite brand Kmart carries is the SK2 brand, Unfortunately, a lot of the styles were unavailable at our local store is their SK2 brand. If you have a child that is into rock and roll and skateboarding, you are definitely going to want to check these out. We loved these shirts and sweatshirts so much that we ended up getting them online and paired them with the Route 66 jeans mentioned above.
We love that we were able to find stylish clothing for the kids at truly an affordable price. We were able to leave with 6 outfits for less than $100. That is pretty much unheard of nowadays unless you are shopping strictly from the clearance section. My son is so excited to start his 4th grade year and can’t wait to show off his new clothing finds!
