31 Days of Halloween: Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt
Once Fall hits I am searching my recipe books and the web for yummy ways to incorporate pumpkin into my menu. Recently I have been seeing a lot of great pumpkin frozen yogurt and ice cream recipes floating around on Pinterest. I decided to take a few of the recipes I had seen and create something of my own and it is so creamy, delicious and healthy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup Greek nonfat vanilla yogurt, strained
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together until completely combined. Place the bowl in the freezer and stir yogurt mixture every half hour until it reaches desired consistency.
