21 Uses for Vinegar

- Carpet cleaner: Don’t know what I would do without this! In a bowl mix 1 Cup hot water, 1/2 Tablespoon vinegar, 1/2 Tablespoon clear dish soap. Use a microfiber washcloth and blot the stains. Works wonders!!!
- Kills weeds: Pour full-strength white distilled vinegar on them.
- Shine chrome sink fixtures: Two tablespoons salt and one teaspoon white distilled vinegar
- Clean & deodorize garbage disposal: Use white distilled vinegar ice cubes. Make them by freezing full-strength white distilled vinegar in an ice cube tray. Run several cubes down the disposal while flushing with cold water.
- Remove buildup from dishwasher: Pour a cup of white distilled vinegar inside the empty machine and run it through a whole cycle. Do monthly.
- Clean grout: Let full-strength white distilled vinegar sit on grout for a few minutes, then scrub with an old toothbrush.
- Deodorize the toilet bowl: Pour three cups white distilled vinegar in toilet. Let sit for about a half hour before flushing.
- Clean urine from mattress: Create a white distilled vinegar and water solution, then sprinkle the area with baking soda and let dry. Brush or vacuum the residue after it is dry to the touch.
- Remove tough stains like spaghetti sauce: Use a white distilled vinegar and water solution.
- Brighten your clothes: add 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar to the rinse cycle.
- Stop insect bites from itching: Dab them with a cotton ball saturated with undiluted white distilled vinegar.
- Soothe a sunburn: Spray ice-cold white distilled vinegar, repeating as necessary.
- Window cleaner: Wipe with a white distilled vinegar-soaked cloth.
- Keep stray cats out of the garden: Spray the area with white distilled vinegar, then rinse with a hose.
- Freshen wilted vegetables: Soak them in cold water containing a spoonful or two of white distilled vinegar.
- Make a delicious standard balsamic vinaigrette: One part white distilled vinegar to four parts oil.
- Clean counter-tops: Wipe them with a white distilled vinegar-soaked cloth.
- Ant spray: Pour white distilled vinegar on the area.
- Clean your BBQ grill: Spritz white distilled vinegar over wadded up aluminum foil and scrub the grill vigorously with it.
- Remove film in hard-to-reach bottles: Fill with equal parts hot water and white distilled vinegar. Let sit for at least an hour. Scrub with a bottle brush.
- Tenderize your meats: Use one-quarter cup vinegar for a two to three pound roast, marinate overnight, then cook without draining or rinsing the meat.
