2016 Hyundai Tucson: First Impression

Last month I had the opportunity to head to Minneapolis, Minnesota to test drive the all-new 2016 Hyundai Tucson. Not only was this my first time in Minneapolis, but it was also the first time in a Hyundai Tucson.
The new 2016 Hyundai Tucson has an attractive new body that is bold and dynamic, sophisticated yet sporty. With its 1.6L Turbo engine, 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, and chrome accents on the Limited model, the new Tucson can easily adapt from country to city, making it the perfect urban adventure vehicle.
The new premium interior inside the 2016 Tucson is impressive. You’ll find maximum comfort with the ventilated front seats— this was extremely appreciated during the hot, humid day in Minnesota.
When you make your way to the back, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the heated rear seats— which is a first for the Tucson.
Like any automotive media event, I spent quite a few hours both behind the wheel and as a passenger in the new Tucson. I can tell you the level of comfort was impressive, as well as the technology that was integrated. Hyundai just gets it when it comes to safety and technology features.
With Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Rear Parking Sensors, you are well equipped for a safer drive.
One of my favorite features on the all-new Tucson has to be their Blue Link. With Blue Link, owners can start and warm/cool their vehicle from the inside of their home, check the tire pressure, send directions to your car, and so much more. If you have a compatible smartwatch, you can access certain features via the smartwatch.
As a mom, I can tell you the more storage space the better when it comes to a vehicle. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson has ample storage space. In the front of the vehicle, you’ll find the common cup holders, as well as easy storage locations for your phone and key fob.
Once you make your way to the back, you’ll find the rear cargo are to be impressive. One of my biggest gripes in a vehicle is the lack of space inside the cargo area. The all-new Tucson has an extra 5 cubic feet of cargo area for a total of 31 cubic feet. No need to leave anything behind anymore, that extra cubic feet makes a difference.
