Homemade Chicken Nuggets

With limiting our processed and fast food intake in our house, I was determined to make homemade chicken nuggets. Not just any chicken nuggets, mind you–but ones my children would eat! This recipe is one that my mom has made time and time again, so I thought I’d try it with my children. Both of my children devoured the nuggets! Pair them up with some homemade Baked Red Potato Fries and you’ll have a meal way healthier than a fast food meal and one that no one can resist!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken, cut into cubes
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • Panko breadcrumbs
  • Paprika
  • Garlic (powder or pressed)

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 375 F.
Using three separate bowls, prepare them like so:
One with flour, salt and pepper
One with egg and milk
One with Panko breadcrumbs, paprika and garlic

Step 2:

Place each piece of chicken in the flour mix, then the egg mix, and last the breadcrumbs mix. Then place them on a pan to be baked.

Step 3:

Bake for 16 minutes, flipping the chicken nuggets over after 8 minutes.
