Love hot chocolate but think it’s only a wintertime treat? Try this frozen hot chocolate for a cool, refreshing summertime dessert! This is my new favorite summer dessert; maybe it’s my pregnancy hormones, but this is seriously my new addiction! I made it for my family a couple of weeks ago and everyone keeps asking me to make it again. Not only is it easy, but it will certainly score you brownie points with your kids!

Ingredients:

    • 6 tbsp. sugar
    • 6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 6 oz. chocolate chips
    • 1 ½ cup cold milk
    • 4 cups ice
    • Whipped cream
    • Cinnamon for sprinkling on top of dessert

Directions:

Step 1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, chocolate chips and ½ cup milk and cook on medium until chocolate is melted. Stir constantly and remove as soon as everything is melted.

Step 2. Add ice, remaining milk and chocolate sauce to blender and blend until smooth.

Step 3. Pour into individual glasses, top with whipped cream and cinnamon and serve immediately. Enjoy!
