There was a time where I couldn’t stand sparkling water. There was no way I would drink it even if that was the only option available to me. Over the past year I decided to give it another try and have purchased about every sparkling water brand and flavor I have found to see which ones I liked and which ones I was definitely not a fan of.

The problem to me, with sparkling water, is not the bubbly feeling, it’s the horrible aftertaste I get when I drink it. Since they aren’t full of crazy amounts of sugar and sometimes sweetened with an artificial sweetener, it can turn a lot of people into instant non-fans.

Luckily there are options out there for people who think they may not like sparkling water, and for me, it’s something worth trying to see if you can become a fan, like I did. Here are my favorite sparkling waters.

Sparkling Ice:

Sparkling Ice has an array of delicious flavors like Cherry Limeade, Strawberry Watermelon, Orange Mango, Coconut Pineapple, and 8 other flavors. Each one, in my opinion don’t leave a lingering artificial sweetener taste even though they are sweetened with sucralose. The sparkling waters do contain 3% juice, but have 0% calories, sugar, sodium, fat and carbs.

LaCroix:

With 20 different sparkling water flavors, you may have seen LaCroix stocked at your local grocery store or deli. Flavors include Passionfruit, Peach-Pear, Apricot, Coconut, Blackberry Cucumber, and more. LaCroix contains all natural ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about anything artificial. It contains 0% calories, sugar, sodium, fat and carbs.

Aquafina Sparkling Water:

Did you think Aquafina was more than distilled water? Think again. Aquafina has branched out into the sparkling water business and we couldn’t be happier. Since April of this year, Aquafina has launched 3 delicious fruit flavored sparkling waters like Black Cherry Dragonfruit, Lemon Lime, and Orange Grapefruit. Unfortunately as tasty as they are, I was disappointed to find out they still contain calories (10), sugar (2g) and sodium (35mg). Granted it’s low, and still a better choice that soda and juice, but for a water product, I would hope they would be more competitive with other brands.

Dasani Sparkling Water:

Like Aquafina, Dasani has a sparkling water line as well. Flavors like Lemon, Berry, Lime, Raspberry Lemonade, Black Cherry, and Tropical Pineapple. The sparkling water is unsweetened with no artificial flavors and zero calories, they also don’t contain any juice. However, if you are looking to decrease your sodium intake, you’ll be disappointed to know that the Dasani Sparkling waters contain 35mg of sodium.

So which is the best? It’s really no contest that La Croix is the best. Everything from their flavors, ingredients, down to the fact you can feel fancy drinking it thanks to its name. When it comes to sparkling water, it really comes down to what your taste buds like and what you find important in ingredients and nutrition. I recommend trying these 4 brands and seeing which you like best.
