I am no where near a car expert, and I won’t pretend I am. However, I do love driving and have found throughout the years of being in the automotive space, that there are certain features I can’t live without.
The Kia Cadenza has been one of my favorite vehicles I have had the privilege of driving. From both the interior and exterior design, the comfort of driving, and key features, it has been a car that I would love to own one day.
When I got the invitation to attend the media launch of the 2017 Kia Cadenza, I knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.
The event took place at the Salamander Resort and Spa in Middleburg, Virginia. Not only was this my first time at both locations, but my first time in Virginia as well. The scenery couldn’t have been a more perfect place to drive the 2017 Cadenza at. From the curved roads, the luscious greenery, the hills, I really had the chance to test the suspension and features of the car while taking in the beautiful views.

The exterior has gotten a distinctive redesign that boasts an attractive and bold change to the face. From first look you will notice the tiger-nosed front grille, and the LED headlamps with a unique Z shaped signature.
The interior is not only luxurious, but extremely spacious as well. In fact, it has the most passenger room than its competitors. This is very important to me as a mom, as I am always running errands with my kids in tow.
The new Cadenza features retractable sun shades for the back passenger windows, which is a first for the Cadenza.
My only complaint about the rear area is the fact there are no charging outlets for the back passengers to charge their electronics at, especially considering it’s a luxurious vehicle. It’s 2016 Kia, get with the program.
When you make your way to the front of the interior, there are a lot of amazing features that make life on the road easier, and a lot more fun. From heating and cooled seats, to changing the drive mode, the driver and passengers alike can ride in comfort.
There’s also an array of incredible technology and safety features inside the 2017 Cadenza.
Optional Safety features consist of:
- Advanced Smart Cruise Control
- Smart Blind Spot Detection (Kia first)
– Automatic brake application to maintain intended course
- Autonomous Emergency Braking
- Front Collision Warning
- High Beam Assist
- Lane Departure Warning System
- Nine airbags, including driver’s knee airbag (Cadenza first)
When it comes to the technology side, the Cadenza is loaded with some of my favorite available features, like:
- Android Auto
- Apple CarPlay
- Wireless Charging, equipped with a Qi charging pad
- Head-Up Display
The 2017 Kia Cadenza has a 3.3-liter direct injected V6, that boasts 290 horsepower. It also comes in an 8-speed automatic transmission.
With a combined 23 MPG, this all-new Cadenza is sure to take you where ever the roads may lead.
The 2017 Kia Cadenza will be for sale starting October 2016. Pricing is not yet available.
